IGP welcomes body cams for law enforcement personnel

Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador says body cameras will provide evidence in cases of alleged misconduct by officers. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, September 20, 2019.

HAVING law enforcement officers wear body cameras can prevent abuses while on duty and ensure transparency, said Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador. Welcoming the proposal, he thanked the government for agreeing to the move, and expressed hope that it will be realised as soon as possible.
