INSPECTOR-GENERAL of Police Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani must order a stop to the ongoing investigation into critics of Kedah Menteri Besar Mohammad Sanusi Md Nor, veteran lawmaker Lim Kit Siang said. The Iskandar Puteri MP said police were denying people their constitutional rights to freedom of expression, after detaining four men including a senior citizen, for allegedly insulting the PAS leader.

The 4 who were remanded earlier by the police, did they acted based on directives given by the Kedah MB himself? Who lodged the police reports, Sanusi himself or his aides? Based on the vague news reports, no criminal threats were made towards Sanusi from this 4, that’s for sure.
