"The new government must be clean and chances must be given to those to clear their name through legal court procedure.

"As the president of Barisan Nasional and Umno, I will not offer myself to be in the new Cabinet," he said on Saturday at the Bagan Datuk Umno building.It was reported earlier that Zahid had denied that the party is aiming for the post of deputy prime minister.

The law says: a man is innocent until proven guilty, however kudos to Zahid for refusing any cabinet post until he is cleared by the courts, thus setting a high bar and has shown great leadership by example in support of a clean new government.
