Husband sentenced to two years in prison for assaulting wife

KUALA PILAH: Seorang suami dijatuhkan hukuman penjara dua tahun oleh Mahkamah Majistret Kuala Pilah hari ini selepas dia mengaku bersalah memukul isterinya pada hari Selasa lalu.

Berdasarkan pertuduhan, pada 7 November lalu kira-kira pukul 9.10 malam di kaki lima sebuah restoran makanan segera di pekan Gemencheh, tertuduh dengan sengaja mendatangkan kecederaan terhadap isterinya yang berusia 47 tahun. Mengikut fakta kes, pada masa, lokasi dan tarikh yang sama, semasa isteri tertuduh yang merupakan seorang guru sedang menunggu bas untuk pulang ke kampung di Terengganu, telah didatangi tertuduh dan berlaku pertengkaran.

Kejadian turut disaksikan saksi awam, pekerja makanan segera dan juga isteri terbaharu tertuduh yang turut merakam kejadian tersebut.
