GEORGE TOWN: The fifth man who was involved in the early morning accident along the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway on Sunday (July 17) has died.

Mohd Haziq Harris, 34, succumbed to serious injuries to his head and body at about 2.15pm on Tuesday at Hospital Pulau Pinang where he had been warded."He passed away at about 2.15pm just now," he said to The Star.Harris said the last time he met his son was on Saturday before his son went out with his friends with his motorcycle to Penang from their house in Sungai Petani.

He said he was shocked to know that his son was involved in the accident and rushed to the hospital upon hearing the news on Sunday morning.The accident has claimed four lives - Muhammad Shazwan Hakim Mohd Abdul Sani, 22, Muhammad Eizreel Muhamad Roszaidi, 25, and Ahmad Haikal Naif Ahmad Nazrul,19, and Muhammad Harith Zikri Yusnizar, 17.

Two others Muhammad Rahimi Shukor, 19, and Muhammad Shazwan Hafiz Mohd Abdul Sani, 22, are still being treated at Hospital Pulau Pinang.The accident, involving two cars and motorcycles, occurred near the Expressway's E-Gate at around 4.40am. A 17-second video posted on social media shows motorcyclists racing along the expressway before cutting to parts of the accident, with a motorcyclist knocking into the back of a car.
