KOTA KINABALU: About 3,963 Sabah community leaders (ketua adat) will get increments of up to 48% in their monthly allowance from September.

Monthly allowances for district chiefs will be raised to RM3,500 from RM2,700 , native chiefs to RM2,500 from RM1,700 , native chief representatives to RM1,300 from RM900 , village heads and kapitans to RM1,200 from RM700 .
