Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the devices from China were automated and could perform the tests faster than the manual procedures used now. Dr Noor Hisham said the ministry will also receive new kits from South Korea, which are due to arrive tomorrow. “At present 11,500 tests are being conducted on a daily basis, but we are aiming to be able to conduct at least 16,500 tests every day,” he said.
