PUTRAJAYA: Six new Covid-19 clusters have been identified in Sabah, Negri Sembilan, Johor, Selangor and Sarawak.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said one of the new clusters in Sabah was the Mesra cluster with its index identified as a symptomatic individual who was screened on Oct 7 and admitted to the Duchess of Kent Hospital in Sandakan on Oct 7.

He said the second cluster identified in Sabah was the Megah cluster in Sandakan with case 13,706 as the cluster index, who was screened on Oct 5 and admitted to the same hospital. "63 individuals have been screened with 55 testing positive, six testing negative and two awaiting results," he said. "Close contact screenings led to 16 positive cases identified. We have screened 628 individuals with 17 testing positive, 591 testing negative and 20 awaiting results," he said.
