PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia's Covid-19 positive rate rose in the past week but the number of cases went down, according to Health Ministry figures.

"During epidemiology week 24 from June 13-19, the number of Covid-19 tests in the country was 561,156, a reduction compared to 628,894 in epidemiology week 23 ."This data includes RTK-Antigen tests conducted by the ministry, state governments and private entities," said Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba at the weekly Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force press conference on Monday .

In epidemiology week 24, the number of Covid-19 cases in the country was 38,911, compared to 41,360 the previous week.The state had 38,406 individuals sampled in that period, with 4,383 testing positive.Terengganu and Perlis have the lowest, with positivity rates of 2.05% and 2.06% respectively.
