CORONAVIRUS | The transmission of Sars and Mers were broken through public health action without any vaccines, he points out.

CORONAVIRUS | Health Ministry director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said it is possible to break the transmission of Covid-19 without a vaccine as long as everyone follows the standard operating procedures and guidelines set by the government.

He gave the examples of the severe acute respiratory syndrome and the Middle East respiratory syndrome infections, pointing out that the transmission of these two diseases were broken through public health action without any vaccines.
