Heads to roll at Malacca’s 4 local councils, report says

The Malacca state government is preparing to axe or re-designate under-performing local councillors or department heads in the state's local governments. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, March 4, 2019.

COUNCIL department heads and councillors in Malacca will be given the boot or re-designated if they are found to be under-performing, The Star Online reported. The portal said the state government is planning to axe under-performers for Malacca’s four local councils beginning this month, in what state local government exco Tey Kok View described to be a bold but unpopular decision.
