KUALA LUMPUR: Menteri Dalam Negeri, Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin diberi tempoh selama 14 hari bermula hari ini bagi memutuskan rayuan Parti Pejuang Tanahair untuk didaftarkan sebagai parti politik.
Semakan kehakiman itu difailkan oleh Setiausaha Agung Jawatankuasa Penaja Pejuang, Datuk Amiruddin Hamzah dengan menamakan Menteri Dalam Negeri dan Jabatan Pendaftaran Pertubuhan sebagai responden pertama dan kedua. Beliau berpendapat, tempoh lima bulan setengah bermula 8 Januari lalu hingga kini yang diambil oleh menteri untuk membuat keputusan adalah tidak masuk akal dan melebihi tempoh masa yang munasabah.
Sebaliknya, ia berkisar tentang kegagalan Menteri Dalam Negeri untuk memutuskan rayuan Pejuang sama ada untuk membenarkan, menolak atau mencapai keputusan berbeza dengan RoS. Walaupun menteri tidak dikehendaki menyediakan anggaran jangka masa, namun tanpa usaha untuk menyediakan jangkaan itu menyebabkan menteri gagal menjustifikasi tempoh munasabah yang sepatutnya diambil.
Hakim bicara turut menyatakan, dalam kes ini hanya menteri yang membuat keputusan dan tidak melibatkan pihak lain.
