KUALA LUMPUR: National hammer thrower Jackie Wong Siew Cheer is down with Covid-19 and has been hospitalised in Sarikei.

The 27-year-old Philippines SEA Games silver medallist is the first national athlete to be tested positive with the virus.

Jackie flew from Kuala Lumpur to Sarikei on March 2 to meet his parents.Jackie went for a check-up on March 14 and was tested positive on Monday morning. Jackie has been admitted.
