KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor hosted a dinner for healthcare workers on Friday (June 17), paying tribute to the men and women for their tireless effort and dedication in battling the Covid-19 pandemic.

Hajiji, who had contracted Covid-19 in 2020 along with his wife Datin Seri Juliah Salag, said the dinner was long overdue as he wanted to show his utmost appreciation to the frontliners involved in the fight since the disease struck two years ago.

The Chief Minister said there were actually more healthcare workers in Sabah to be celebrated but that he was starting with the workforce in the state capital first. After delivering his speech, Hajiji took time to mingle with the healthcare workers including the doctor and nurse who treated him and his wife.

Despite the pandemic, he said he made sure the state’s policy must be implemented either physically or virtually.
