KUALA TERENGGANU: Former national striker Hairuddin Omar has returned to Terengganu as assistant coach to Nafuzi Zain.
According to the club’s CEO Ab Rasid Jusoh, Hairuddin’s vast experience with the national team will be beneficial for the Turtles. “I believe Hairuddin will help us provide a stronger challenge in the new season as he has handled the national Under-19 squad when he was assistant to Bojan Hodak in 2017,” said Ab Rasid.
Apart from donning Terengganu jersey, “Hai-O”, a former national team captain has also played in Kelantan, Pahang, T-Team, Police and Negri Sembilan. “With his inclusion we can look forward to better results in the Super League and Malaysia Cup. Not to forget the opportunity to play in the AFC Cup next season,” he said. — Bernama
