MELAKA: DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng is suing Melaka assembly deputy speaker Ghazale Muhamad over a Facebook post.
Kota Melaka MP Khoo Poay Tiong said Lim had issued a letter of demand to Ghazale, who is also Rim assemblyman. In a press conference Friday , Khoo said that Ghazale had alleged in a Facebook post that Lim appointed a team of 30 “pegawai khas” when he was the finance minister. Khoo added that Ghazale had also alleged that they were Chinese youth between the ages of 20 and 30 and were paid RM8,000 to RM15,000 monthly.
"The post allegedly made racist statements against Lim and also accused him of selling away the country’s assets," he said.
