Pengerusi GRS Hajiji Noor yang juga Ketua Menteri Sabah berkata ini termasuk keputusan Naib Presiden Bersatu Dr Ronald Kiandee untuk bertanding mempertahan kerusi Parlimen Beluran atas tiket Perikatan Nasional . GRS dan Barisan Nasional meneruskan kerjasama dalam Kerajaan Negeri Sabah pada PRU15 dengan pembahagian kerusi 13-12 namun Ronald bertindak mencalonkan dirinya mewakili PN di Parlimen Beluran yang diperuntuk kepada calon BN iaitu Benedict Asmat.
“Keadaan politik di Sabah berlainan dan ada keunikan… kita olahkan politik di Sabah dengan cara kita di Sabah,” katanya.
