People usually make a comment if someone’s child is given a name that’s believed to be more suited to pets.A group of 15 men lodged a police report against an alleged lawyer named William HS Foo on Facebook for naming his pet dogs Datuk Seri, Datuk Seri Paduka, and Datuk Wira yesterday , Berita Harian reported.
The group representative, Muhammad Kamil Abdul Razak, 26, from Sungai Tiram, claimed the man’s action was done with malice. Group representative Muhammad Kamil Abdul Razak Muhammad Haikal Mohd Dzul, 26, from Kebun Teh, called for the authorities to take immediate action. He said no apology is needed from the lawyer because his actions were very rude and could cause racial tensions.
Johor Bahru Selatan police chief Assistant Commissioner Raub Selamat confirmed receiving the report from the group and said an investigation will be carried out.
