THE death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was not entirely unexpected, but I did not expect it to happen so suddenly. I had just watched on television her appointment of Liz Truss as the 15th prime minister of Britain since her ascension to the throne in 1952.
She carried herself fairly steadily with her walking stick, and stood up smiling to shake the hand of the new prime minister.
No public holiday ? Her death impact worldwide. Just recently a certain state declared a public holiday for winning just an insignificant football cup….sorry I can’t remember other details 🤪
