Greeks warned of return to austerity ahead of snap polls

GREEK Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras yesterday warned that the country risks a return to the “dark days” of austerity if his party loses tomorrow’s snap elections. As a trio of new opinion polls handed a clear victory to the opposition conservative party, the 44-year-old leader insisted that an 11th-hour upset remains possible.
