Greece extends migrant camp virus lockdown

Greece appears to have fared better than most of its European partners in the Covid-19 pandemic, with 180 deaths and 2,980 infections. – EPA pic, June 7, 2020.

GREECE has extended by another two weeks a coronavirus lockdown imposed on its overcrowded migrant camps as the country gears up to revive its tourism-dependent economy. “For residents of reception and identification centres across the country, measures against the propagation of Covid-19 are extended” until June 21, said a government gazette.
