MELAKA: The determination of a 25-year-old GrabFood rider to deliver a late night order of “Nasi Paprik’ and chicken meatballs to a villager led him to being involved in a harrowing incident.

According to Muaz Razali, he took a dark stretch to Kampung Gangsa here despite his friends warning him to cancel the order as the area was said to be"haunted" and poorly lit.

Muaz said some of his peers told him that the stretch is part of the now defunct Melaka railway track and shared horror stories of ghouls when using the road during late nights. Muaz said an individual manning the emergency telephone line had difficulties listening to him when he made the call.
