KUCHING: Sarawak Pakatan Harapan has labelled the ruling Gabungan Parti Sarawak as the third leg of the Umno-PAS “unholy union” and vowed to bring down the party at the next state general election.
Speaking at a Sarawak PH dinner here tonight, he said the next state elections, due by 2021, would be “the battle of the century”, and would be a government-to-government fight between the federal and state governments. He said GPS leaders had conspired with Umno and PAS leaders, resulting in the defeat of a constitutional amendment bill to restore the status of Sabah and Sarawak .
“You can’t bring changes if the state government is always going against the federal government. It would only benefit the elite in the state government and not the people,” he said.
