THE Housing and Local Government Ministry is considering providing additional allowance to the personnel of the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia for their involvement in Covid-19 assignments. Minister-in-charge Zuraida Kamaruddin said that with the expansion of JBPM’s job scope, which now includes managing the burial of Covid-19 victims, its personnel are at risk of contracting the virus.
