GOF, marine police intensify land, water patrols at border

THE General Operations Force and the marine police have intensified land and water patrols as well as at ‘rat lanes’ following a directive by Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador to thwart entry of illegal immigrants and to curb the spread of Covid-19.

GOF 7th Battalion commanding officer Azhari Nusi said, following the directive his team had also added 250 men to its ranks, bringing patrolling officers to 550, to fully control the border.
