Global coronavirus cases exceeds 704,000

THE number of coronavirus cases worldwide surpassed 704,000 yesterday, Anadolu Agency reported based on data compiled by the US-based Johns Hopkins University. The virus, which emerged in Wuhan, China, last December, has spread to 177 countries and regions around the globe, with more than 33,500 deaths worldwide.
