Communications and digital minister Fahmi Fadzil using a QR code to make a cashless payment at a Ramadan bazaar. He hoped 90% of bazaar transactions would be cashless next year.
He said with facilities already in place, such as the digital economy centre , the people had no excuse not to work towards ending poverty, which is the aspiration of the government. He said the government would ensure that each state constituency has at least one PEDi facility by next year. Fahmi witnessed the handover of tablet computers to schoolchildren living at the Seri Pantai public housing estate. The computers were presented by Touch ‘n Go Sdn Bhd chief executive Praba Sangarajoo.Fahmi encouraged the people to use cashless payment methods such as e-wallets and QR codes at Ramadan bazaars around the federal capital.
