Taking responsibility for Barisan Nasional's heavy defeat in the 15th General Election in the state, Othman said the defeat was a clear signal that the party had been totally rejected by the Malays.
"The Malays have given a clear indication that they probably do not hate the party, but they might not like the way the party is being led and controlled by its leader," he said in a press conference on Sunday . He said Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom, as Kedah Umno chairman, should"morally" resign from his position and give way to a new leader.
Why NOT just ask all elected MPs in UMNO to resign as well... UMNO won 30 seats...thanks to internal rebels. Where are those rebels? Are they now with PN? So, what's the logic to call for ZH to resign? Rakyat asked for justice...Don't used that for personal gains.
Buat post mortem dulu..kaji balik mana silapnya..lepas tu baru ambik tindakan siapa yang bertanggungjawab ke atas kekalahan ini...then step downlah. Bukan dia seorang je silap...ramai pemimpin mesti memikul tanggungjawab
