PETALING JAYA: Despite losing in the Sungai Buloh seat after 14 day of campaigning, Khairy Jamaluddin is looking forward to the upcoming Qatar World Cup that kicked off on Sunday (Nov 20).

Khairy also hoped those who became elected representatives after polling on Saturday would lead with wisdom and compassion, amidst uncertainty across the nation.“I am looking forward to the World Cup on television,” said Khairy in an Instagram post Sunday .

Meanwhile, Khairy said one of the most harrowing things about being a politician is about facing the elections every five years, adding that polls are the basis for a functioning democracy. “I think I tried my best. But I wasn’t good enough. A loss is a loss, no matter how close you came or how many people express disappointment at your loss,” said Khairy.
