PETALING JAYA: The passing of the United Nations Security Council Resolution 2728, which calls for an immediate ceasefire in Palestine, should be enforced immediately, especially during the fasting month, says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
“We must immediately relieve the people of Gaza from the immense pain and suffering they have now endured for almost six months,” he said in a post on X on Tuesday . He added that Malaysia also endorsed the UNSC Resolution 2728, calling for an immediate ceasefire of all hostilities in Gaza. “We applaud the bravery and commitment to humanity of the ten elected members of the council - Algeria, Guyana, Ecuador, Japan, Malta, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, Slovenia, South Korea, and Switzerland.
