Gamalux Oils Sdn Bhd, a company pioneering in solvent extraction technologies from palm oil waste products has signed a letter of intent with the Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS).

The purpose of the agreement was to carry out further research into the use of deoiled bleaching earth produced by the factory as a new material in the construction industry.Researchers from Faculty of Engineering found DOBE has the potential to be used as an element in building materials through their preliminary research carried out in 2021 and 2022.
