PETALING JAYA: Fuel prices will drop across the board for the July 25-31 period.

The Finance Ministry said RON97 petrol would be priced at RM1.98 per litre, down four sen from RM2.02 previously.

The price of RON95 petrol will also fall by four sen from RM1.72 per litre to RM1.68 per litre, while diesel will see a drop by five sen from RM1.87 per litre to RM1.82 per litre. "The decline in the retail price of petroleum products is due to changes in refined product prices, in line with current crude oil prices.

"The government will continue to monitor the impact of global crude oil price change and take appropriate measures to ensure the welfare and wellbeing of the people," the ministry said in a statement Friday . The weekly fuel pricing mechanism was reintroduced on Jan 5, 2019, under the Automatic Pricing Mechanism .Article type: metered
