FT Minister Annuar Musa wants City Hall to consider having a disinfection booth at the Selayang Market.

KUALA LUMPUR: Federal Territories Minister Annuar Musa today hit out at the operator and workers at the Selayang market here for failing to adhere to social distancing rules in daily business operations during this movement control order period.“Eight Covid-19 cases have been reported at the market.“The stall owners also did not have hand sanitiser liquid for customers,” Annuar said on Facebook.

“I have also instructed the mayor to improve enforcement at the market. The lorries must maintain a distance from one another when they are unloading food items,” Annuar said. He also suggested that a disinfection booth be placed in the market as a precautionary measure to ensure the workers’ safety.“I must remind everyone here that Federal Territories is still placed under the red zone and we must adhere to the MCO at all times,” he added.Subscribe to our newsletter and get news delivered to your mailbox.
