PETALING JAYA: Four men were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol during an operation carried out by the police on Monday night (June 1) from 10pm to 2am.

"The main focus of the operations is to curb drunk driving," said Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal on Tuesday.He said four motorists were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol above the legal limit.

"Based on our observation, there are still motorists who are drinking alcohol before driving or riding motorcycles," he said. ACP Nik Ezanee was quoted saying that the police initially set up just two roadblocks in Petaling Jaya when the operation started on May 27.
