Flux wants to make car subscriptions more affordable by offering a longer 60-month plan. A Proton X50 can be yours for RM1,932/month and it includes road tax, insurance, maintenance and a concierge service.

has introduced Flux Basic, a longer 60 months subscription which provides an economical option for car shoppers. Prior to this, Flux offers car subscription plans from 1 to 36 months, and the new longer 60-month option can help lower the monthly fee by about 20% versus the 36-month plan.

With the 60-month subscription option, you can get a Toyota Yaris 2020 from RM1,280/month or a Proton X50 2022 from RM1,932/month. If you’re looking for a sedan, the current Honda Civic 2022 can be yours for RM2,208/month while the Mercedes-Benz C180 2018 is offered for RM3,036/month. Do note that the advertised pricing is with the Lite Mileage Package with 1,250km per month.

According to Flux, a car subscription service can help pay less upfront during the first year of subscription as you don’t need to pay the usual 10% downpayment. You can also start driving almost immediately as you don’t need to wait for stock or go through the hassle of applying for a car loan. Since this is a subscription, you’ll have to return the car at the end of the contract.

However, there are some limitations to the longer 60-month option. Flux Basic doesn’t cover wear and tear costs and the option to swap cars during the contract period. If you are planning to change cars every year, you would have to go for the normal Flux 12-month, 24-month and 36-month options.

For a limited time, Flux allows you to subscribe to their cars by paying just RM5 for the first-month subscription. You can discover their current vehicles available which cover sedans, hatchbacks, pickups, MPVs, SUVs and even electric vehicles on their website.
