MELAKA: Floods hit several parts of the state following a four-hour downpour.

In a statement yesterday, the Melaka Civil Defence Force said 17 areas in the state were inundated, though no evacuation was deemed necessary.

APM, which is monitoring the situation, said the most affected areas were 16 in Melaka Tengah, and one at Jasin. In Melaka Tengah, areas impacted were Taman Rambai Indah, Gedung Lalang, Pinang A, Pokok Mangga, Klebang Besar, Pulau Gadong, Taman Bukit Rambai, Taman Rambai Utama; Taman Rambai Jaya, Tanjung Minyak, Pengkalan Rama Pantai, Pantai Peringgit public housing, Taman Desa Molek, and Padang Bukit Lintang.
