Following this, the district Disaster Management Committee said the SK Seri Bukit Panjang flood relief centre would be closed from 2pm on Wednesday .In a statement, the committee said following a heavy downpour for more than two hours starting from 4.30pm on Tuesday, the affected residents from Kampung Seri Bukit Panjang had to be evacuated from their homes.
Flash floods also occurred in parts of Johor Baru on Tuesday due to the heavy rainfall that started around noon.The gloomy skies have since cleared on Wednesday.
