JOHOR BARU: A five-year-old boy is set to become the youngest ever player in Malaysian football history to sign up with a club as he will be inking a deal with Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) soon.

The club technical director Alistair Edwards announced the six-time Malaysian Super League champions would be signing the highly talented youngster, Tengku Sulaiman Shakirinal Sulaiman Shah, after receiving parental consent.“This is part of the club's long-term plan, where talented youngsters such as Tengku Sulaiman get opportunities to develop their career at a club with facilities as complete as JDT, which also has collaborations with foreign clubs, ” he added.

Edwards said this in a statement posted on Johor Southern Tigers official Facebook page here on Thursday . Johor Southern Tigers also uploaded a 57-second clips on their Facebook page to highlight Tengku Sulaiman’s talent and ability especially in free kicks.
