The 18-year-old ais kacang seller at Jalan Permatang Tok Jaya in Butterworth had gotten his hand stuck in the machine while preparing to set up shop for the day.
Butterworth Fire and Rescue Department operation officer Mohd Yusof Mohamad said the department received a distress call from a member of the public at 11.55am on Sunday informing them about the incident. "When we arrived, we saw that the teenage victim's left hand was stuck in the upper part of the machine," he said.He added that firemen wearing complete personal protective equipment use their rescue tools to remove the victim's pinched hand.The victim did not suffer any injuries and the operation ended at 12.22pm.
