Bandar Baru Segamat Fire and Rescue station chief Mazuki Ismail said fireman Mohd Firdaus Sulaiman had passed away at around 4.10am Monday due to serious injuries.
Mazuki said Firdaus' body was at the hospital's forensics department for cleansing before being brought back to his hometown for burial. On Saturday , two firemen, one of whom was Firdaus, were injured in an explosion while putting out a factory fire here. While putting out the fire, an explosion occurred on level three of the factory that led to the partial collapse of the structure.
