MP Bung Moktar Radin says a lasting solution should be found to overcome the human-elephant conflict or the animals might become extinct. FMTNews BungMokhtar Pygmy

Kinabatangan MP Bung Moktar Radin says the killing of elephants has been going on for years.

He said there would be no end to the problem if the elephant-human conflict dilemma was not addressed properly. Bung said the elephants were being pushed out from their natural habitat to look for food elsewhere because of the fast-depleting resources in the forest. Another would be to find a location which could reduce the possibilities of the animals coming into settled areas, although he acknowledged this would be almost impossible.
