Fire Dept warns of chemical spill in Tuaran

The Fire and Rescue Department in Tuaran, Sabah, is appealing for witness after chemicals were dumped in Sungai Rugading, sparking an alert. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, May 10, 2022.

MEMBERS of the public are advised to steer clear of the Sungai Rugading area near Tuaran after a chemical spill was detected at the river yesterday evening. Sabah Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Misran Bisara said a hazmat detector had discovered the pollution, which was in the form of scheduled waste.
