Fire Dept asks climbers to report to area operators before expeditions

Sport-climbing enthusiasts should report to area operators before starting their activities so rescue personnel can locate them in case of emergencies. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, January 27, 2023.

Its director-general Mohammad Hamdan Wahid said this is important to ensure there are no unwanted incidents, especially during the northeast monsoon period, which has yet to end.
