Financial aid deduction for PPR rent began last month, says Johor exco

Johor Housing, Communications and Multimedia Committee chairman Dzulkefly Ahmad says with the automatic deductions, tenants are assured of a roof over their heads, even in difficult times. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, August 17, 2019.

THE Johor government has started deducting rental payment for People’s Housing Project units directly from tenants’ monthly financial aid since last month, said state Housing, Communications and Multimedia Committee chairman Dzulkefly Ahmad. He said several other foundations supervised by the local authorities were awaiting the approval of the Board of Trustees to enable them to take similar measures.
