Users will pay a reduced congestion charge that saves them RM180m annually, says Lim Guan Eng.

Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng has hit out at detractors of his highway concession takeover plan, saying it was made after due diligence and will save users up to RM180 million annually.

"Upon expiry, the congestion charges will be further reduced significantly to cover only the operating and maintenance costs, without any profit element." "Let me reiterate that the conditional offer is made after due diligence by professional banking consultant in line with fulfilling the commitment by the Pakatan Harapan government in its electoral manifesto to take over highway concessions and gradually reduce toll rates to ease the burden on the people," he said.

Obviously LGE didn't consult his special office cum pol sec the genius Tony Pua. That guy said he only need a little money to takeover all toll operators and abolish tolls!!!!!

Which expert,

Paradoxical buyback - at the very end .. all taxpayer pays for its maintenance. Consider formulating toll reduction by extending collection period for the same RM1. That way, toll is reduced and only those using the highways pay, not every taxpayer chedetofficial guanenglim

A pure case of a paradoxical proposal. At the very end .. all taxpayer pays for its maintenance. Just reduce the toll by extending their concession period. That way, toll is reduced and only those who uses the highways pay, not every taxpayer chedetofficial guanenglim
