JOHOR BARU: Police have reduced the number of roadblocks in several locations throughout Johor to comply with conditional movement control order (MCO).

State police chief Comm Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay said there were now 33 roadblocks state-wide, compared to 66 previously.

“Police have reduced roadblocks along highways as well as major roads and are relocating some to districts with coastal areas as a means to detect, deter and constrain any human trafficking," he added. In an unrelated matter, Comm Ayob said that investigation papers on a police corporal for recording and spreading a video of Rohingya refugee “Long Tiger” would be completed soon.
