According to the Transport Minister, ferry services company Batam Fast Ferry would be providing trips between the Desaru Coast and Tanah Merah ferry terminals starting July 7.
“The services are expected to begin with a single trip daily with four ferries accommodating up to 333 passengers.“We wish them every success with this service moving forward,” he said in a Facebook post on Wednesday . Dr Wee expressed thanks to the Singapore maritime and port authority for giving the final approval to the ferry company’s application to begin operations.
He thanked the Marine Department and Johor government for their assistance in making this ferry service a reality as well.
