Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook said the new ruling was imposed following requests from female passengers.
"This is to allow female passengers who travel to work every morning to do so in comfort," he said after a visit to the Terminal 1 bus station here.

even on the trains (LRT), women (ladies, females) some of them delibrately choose not to board the assigned coaches for WANITA with signboards and notices indicating that such coaches are available to them.
Segregation? Isn't this solution a little archaic? Anyway, the women have a choice. That's always important. But please check why they were uncomfortable. That's s the real problem to solve.
Sexist much? Where's the equality you're fighting for?
And make sure they seated at their own ladies coaches not occupying other coaches unless ladies coaches are full !!!
