THE Youth and Sports Ministry has come up with a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) on sports and recreational activities.

The FAQ serves as a guide for the Malaysian public on what are the Dos and Don’ts with regard to sports under the conditional movement control order .

They must be conducted in open areas and any such activity must be in compliance with the rules set by local authorities. This includes obtaining the required permission to use the public facilities.Q: Are the SOPs for sports and recreation for the conditional MCO that is in effect for Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Selangor the same as that used in Sabah?No. These SOPs in this FAQ are only for use in Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Selangor.

Q: I am a sports facilitator at an apartment in Putrajaya. Are facilities such as swimming pools, gymnasiums allowed to be used by the tenants?No. Sports and recreational activities that are held indoors such as at gymnasium, as well as water activities such as swimming, are among those in the restricted list.

Q: Our sports association is planning an annual general meeting on Oct 17 at a hall in Selangor. Can our association do so?The annual general meeting should be held online. Meetings that involve a large gathering of individuals are not allowed throughout the conditional MCO period.
