Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng never made remarks critical of Islam and Malays, says his press secretary.
Lim’s press secretary, Lutfi Hakim, said the news reports, which were made to look as it they were published by news websites such as Malaysiakini and Astro Awani, and even Roketkini, were fake and aimed at slandering the DAP secretary-general. Lutfi was referring to report titled “Agong tiada hak tolak nama Penguam Negara PH” , supposedly published by Astro Awani, and “Melayu jangan terlalu mengemis dengan kerajaan” , supposedly published by Malaysiakini.
Lutfi said a police report was lodged at the Dang Wangi station two days ago after these “news reports” went viral on WhatsApp.
